Asia Photonics Expo 2026 Concludes in Singapore—Following three days of business and industry exchange

Singapore, 6 February 2026 – The third edition of the Asia Photonics Expo (APE) 2026 concluded today at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, following three days of exhibitions, conferences and business engagement that brought together the global photonics and semiconductor ecosystem.

Recognised as Asia’s leading platform for industry exchange, sourcing and collaboration across the photonics value chain, APE 2026 hosted over 353 exhibitors and 5,586 industry professionals from more than 46 countries and regions.

A Strategic Hub for Sourcing and Business Exchange

APE 2026 served as a dynamic marketplace for the industry, with companies showcasing technologies and solutions spanning optical communications, optics, semiconductors, lasers, infrared, sensing, quantum technologies and related applications.

A key highlight was the hosted buyer programme, which facilitated focused one-on-one business-matching meetings between exhibitors and qualified buyers with clear sourcing needs and purchasing plans. The complimentary programme supported discussions around new projects, product development and long-term partnerships, reinforcing APE’s role in enabling meaningful business outcomes.

The exhibition also featured a range of specialised zones, including Quantum Technologies, Photonics x Semiconductor Innovation, Infrared Night Vision Devices, Vacuum Coating, and Optical Components and Lenses, enabling visitors to efficiently explore targeted solutions and emerging technologies.

The Photonics x Semiconductor Innovation Zone, which made its debut at APE 2026, highlighted the growing convergence between photonics and semiconductor technologies, bringing together companies and innovations addressing next-generation applications across multiple sectors.

“APE 2026 has been fantastic, and the energy here shows that photonics is no longer just research – it is rapidly becoming an industrial and commercial reality across Asia. The event is becoming a key platform for turning photonics innovations into real industry impact,” said Ms Anggi Utami, Chief Operation Officer, Nicslab

Knowledge Exchange and Industry Engagement

Beyond the exhibition floor, APE 2026 featured a series of industry-led conferences and forums, including the Asia Semiconductor Conference 2026, Photonics@SG 2026, Quantum Singapore 2026, and related programmes.

Attendees also participated in exclusive site visits to leading photonics companies and research institutions, including JM VisTec, MMI Systems, LITEON, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and A*STAR’s National Semiconductor Translation and Innovation Centre (NSTIC).

APE 2026 was supported by key industry partners, including the LUX Photonics Consortium, the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA) and the Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA), reflecting strong ecosystem support for industry collaboration and growth.

Looking Ahead

Mr Sukumar Verma, Managing Director, Informa Markets, said: “APE 2026 has demonstrated the importance of a dedicated marketplace that enables photonics professionals, innovators and buyers to meet, source technologies and progress real business opportunities. The strong participation across the event reflects the industry’s demand for a platform that supports collaboration and commercial outcomes.”

The next edition of the Asia Photonics Expo (APE) is set to return on 3-5 March 2027, continuing its role as a platform for the industry to connect, source solutions and explore new opportunities across the photonics ecosystem.
