Q: Photonics is being applied across various industries. Could you share your company’s main application areas and what you consider to be your core competitive advantages?
A: Everbright’s technologies serve a wide spectrum of industries, including Industrial Laser Pumping, Laser Manufacturing Equipment, Scientific Research, Biomedical Aesthetics, High-Speed Optical Communication, Machine Vision, Laser Sensing, and Consumer Electronics.
Our core competitive advantage lies in our IDM business model. This integrated approach provides unparalleled control over the entire manufacturing process, ensuring consistently high product quality and reliability. Combined with robust R&D capabilities, this structure enables us to deliver innovative solutions to the market more swiftly and efficiently solidifying our leadership in the photonics industry.
Q: What were some of your company’s key innovations or achievements in 2025?
A: 2025 was a year of significant technological breakthroughs across our product lines. In high-power lasers, we successfully commercialized high-power DBR laser chips and modules and launched specialized 1470nm and 1726nm laser modules tailored for medical applications. A particular highlight was the development of our 60kW 880nm and 80kW 940nm macro-channel stacked array modules for laser fusion projects, which are now being deployed both domestically and internationally.
In the field of communication chips, we made substantial strides with several new product releases, including: 200G PAM4 EML, 200G PAM4 PD, 100G PAM4 PD, 70mW CWDM4 CW Laser, 100G PAM4 VCSEL (SR). It is worth emphasizing that our 200G EML companion chips and the 70mW CWDM4 CW Laser are the first such products to be publicly released by a domestic Chinese manufacturer. These developments represent a critical step forward in strengthening the domestic supply chain for high-end optical communication chips. Additionally, our 100G PAM4 VCSEL chip was recognized with the prestigious Lightwave Innovation Reviews award.
Q: What is your company’s Development Strategy?
A: Guided by our “One Platform, One Pivot, Horizontal Expansion, Vertical Extension” strategy, Everbright leverages its proprietary IDM full-process platform and deep expertise in high-power semiconductor laser chips to drive growth. We are expanding horizontally into emerging areas such as LiDAR, 3D sensing, high-speed optical communication, and visible light applications. At the same time, we are extending vertically into downstream products, including direct semiconductor lasers. Our IDM platform allows us to respond rapidly to evolving market needs and achieve efficient iteration of next-generation products.

Dr. Wang holds a doctoral degree and has extensive experience in the Semiconductor Laser, DPSS Laser & Ultrafast Laser Fields. He has been committed to Research & Development in Domestic and International Universities, Research Institutes and Laser Companies for more than 30 years.
